Obituary Condolences

MARION A. DESILETS BURLINGTON - Marion A. Desilets, 74, of Burlington, beloved Mom & Mim, died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010 at her home, surrounded by her family. Marion was born in South Londonderry on March 21, 1936, the daughter of Raymond and Zoe (Gates) Beattie. On Nov. 21, 1959, she married Rene A. Desilets in Burlington. She retired from Ben Franklin Store after over 30 years of service. Mim lived and centered her life around her family, especially her grand- children. Marion was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Rene; a daughter, Barbara; her brothers, Raymond, Robert, Warren, Clifton, twins Walter and Wallace, Roger and Wendell Beattie; and sister, Marjorie Torrey. Marion is survived by her daughter, Suzanne C. Prim and her husband, Timothy, of Burlington; her grandchildren, Evelyn A., Kevin T., Rene S., and Trey AJ Prim, all of Burlington; three sisters, Minnie Smith of Randolph, Florence Smith of Jamaica and Maxine Beattie of Burlington; two brothers, Gerald Beattie of Grafton and Gordon Beattie of North Grosvenor Dale, Conn.; as well as her in-laws and many nieces and nephews. Private graveside service will be held at the convenience of her family in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Winooski. There will be no visiting hours. Assisting her family is the Ready Funeral and Cremation Service, North Chapel, 934 North Ave., Burlington.
