MAURICE J. PAQUETTE - FERRISBURGH - Maurice J. Paquette, 82, passed away Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, in Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington. He was born Jan. 22, 1931, in New Haven, the son of Leonard and Alice Rheaume Paquette. Maurice was a member of Vergennes Eagles Club and past president. Also, he was a member of Knights of Columbus in Middlebury, and St. Peter's Church in Vergennes. Maurice is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mildred Paquette of Ferrisburgh; four children, Marie Jewell (Gene) of Addison, Richard Paquette (Marion) of Shoreham, Micheal Paquette (Angela) of Ferrisburgh, Gary Paquette (Lori Anne) of California; and daughter-in-law, Donna Paquette of Ferrisburgh. He was predeceased by three children, Phylis, Philip and Maurice Paul. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lucile Cousino of Monkton, and Rita Tatro (Bill) of New York; brother, Emile Paquette (Marjorie) of Bristol; sister-in-law, Joyce Paquette of New Haven; and several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by a brother, Robert Paquette. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, at Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Vergennes, from 10 a.m. up to hour of the service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Peter's Church in Vergennes. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery in Vergennes. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Peter's Restoration Fund, 85 South Maple St., Vergennes, VT 05491.
