MIGNONNE G. BOURGEA SOUTH BURLINGTON - Mignonne was born in Bedford, Quebec, on April 10, 1922, to Arthur Godin and Berthe Cote. She graduated from the St. Louis Convent in Winooski in 1937, and Winooski High School in 1941. She married Roger L. Bourgea on Aug. 23, 1947. She worked at Richard Lumber Company which became Vermont Furniture Company. She then went to work for General Electric, Lakeside Avenue, Burlington, and retired from there in 1985. After retiring, she enjoyed arts and crafts including sewing, knitting, crocheting, rug hooking and oil painting and she loved being on her computer, keeping in touch with friends and relatives on Facebook and doing genealogy on her and her husband's families. Mignonne is survived by her husband of 67 years, Roger of South Burlington; children, Patricia Collins and husband, James, and Michael Bourgea and wife, Amy; four grandchildren, Alicia Burris and husband, Mike, Elizabeth Kinlaw, Kyle Bourgea, and Matthew Bourgea; three great-grandchildren, Lily Burris, Ana Burris, and Ezra Kinlaw; many nieces and nephews; and a cousin, Theresa Bedard, who was like a sister to her. She was predeceased by her brother, Marcel Godin, in 1978. The family would like to thank the Cardiac Rehab for helping her be healthy for another 20 years after a major heart attack. She and Roger had many friends there including the staff and Dr. Ades. They would also like to thank Dr. Jennifer Gilwee for her wonderful care. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church in Burlington. Interment will take place on Monday, Aug. 4, 2014, at 11 a.m. in New Mount Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, Aug. 1, 2014, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Ready Funeral & Cremation Service South Chapel, 261 Shelburne Rd., Burlington.
