RAYMOND GEORGE "BUTCH" FRANKLIN - CHARLOTTE - Butch Franklin, 66, of Charlotte, passed away peacefully, Friday, May 10, 2013, in Fletcher Allen Health Care following a long illness. Butch was born Oct. 30, 1946, in Burlington, the son of the late Bernard and Madeline (Torrey) Franklin. Butch joined the Army after high school and served in the Vietnam War. He was married to Julie-Ann Aube Aug. 23, 1969. Butch spent his years working for Blodgett Ovens, retiring in 2001. He enjoyed the outdoors and collecting baseball cards. He is survived by his wife, Julie; two children, Michelle Franklin of Waterbury, and Ben Franklin and his wife, Annette, of West Berkshire; five grandchildren, Dakota, Madison and Devon Noyes, and Corey and Justin Franklin. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Jane Franklin, in 1983. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at 1 p.m., with calling hours from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Corbin and Palmer Funeral Home, 71 Union St., Burlington.
