RAYMOND LEO LAMARE

RAYMOND LEO LAMARE WOLCOTT - R. Leo LaMare, 62, of Wolcott, died unexpectedly at Fletcher Allen Health Center in Burlington, Sunday evening, Oct. 3, 2010. Born in Newport on Jan. 1, 1948, he was the son of Raymond and Ruth (Brown) LaMare. He graduated from Craftsbury Academy in 1965 and served his country with the Vermont National Guard. Leo enjoyed spending time with his family, grand- children and great-grandson. He also enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling and camping. He worked in the area as a carpenter for many years. He leaves his wife of 42 years, Linda (Sweeney) LaMare; a son, Leo Paul and his wife, Cathy; a daughter, Kimberly Harris; six grandchildren, John, Raymond, Michael, and Caitlin LaMare, and Lindsey and Becca Harris; and a greatgrandson, Jacob Reed, all of Wolcott; siblings, Darlene Phelps and husband, Roland, of Wolcott and Florida, Randy LaMare and wife, Susan, of Morrisville, Rita Martin and husband, Paul, of Albany, Muriel Lowell and husband, Paul, of Elmore, Mitchell LaMare and wife, Paulette, of Craftsbury, Sherry LaMare and husband, Brad Beaulieu, of Wolcott, and Monty LaMare and wife, Tracy, of Morrisville; as well as an aunt, uncle, nieces, nephews and cousins and extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Ruth LaMare. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 8 at the United Church of Craftsbury, in Craftsbury Common, with Rev. Alan Parker officiating. There will be no calling hours. Interment will follow in the Taylor Cemetery in Wolcott.
