REAL RICHARD CHARLEBOIS BURLINGTON - Real Richard Charlebois, 86, of Burlington, passed quietly away on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012, at The Arbors in Shelburne. We are so grateful for the time we were able to spend with him during his final years. Real (Mr. C.) was born in Weybridge on Feb. 26, 1926, to Oliver and Clara (Pomainville) Charlebois. He spent his early years as he had his entire life, working hard and instilling an incredible work ethic in his three sons. He worked many years for W.C. Kirby and was proud of the responsibility that the Kirby's placed in him. On April 1, 1962, Real, together with his wife, Bertha, started Charlebois and Sons garage in Burlington. He worked countless hours to create a successful, well-respected business. His three sons grew up knowing the value of a dollar and continued in the business with him. Real is preceded in death by his devoted wife, Bertha; his granddaughter, Kristen Laure Charlebois; his brother, Richard Charlebois; and his two sisters, Anita Godard and Rena Booth. Real is survived and lovingly remembered by his three sons and their wives, Roger and Patricia Charlebois, Ronald and Mary Charlebois and Raymond and Anna Marie Charlebois. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren and their spouses, Randall and Paola Charlebois, Todd and Danielle Charlebois, Shane Charlebois, Kate and Aaron Stone, Melissa and Scott Mills, Alison Duprey and Emily and Timothy Davis; and greatgrandchildren, Zachary Mills, Nicolas and Alex Charlebois, Olivia Davis, Micah Charlebois and Natalie Stone. He is also survived by his loving sisters and brothers, Simone Masse of Old Chatham, N.Y., Rita Booska of New Haven, Jeanne Bernek of Florida, Eugene Charlebois and his wife, Judy, of Addison and Bernard Charlebois and wife, Marsella, of Springfield, Ore. Real also leaves many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the many loving and dedicated employees of The Arbors in Shelburne. They are also so appreciative of the countless hours that Real's devoted sister, Rita Booska, spent with him these past three years. The family would also like to express their thanks to Paul Hebert for his conscientiousness and friendship towards "Mr. C". Visiting hours will be held at Ready Funeral Home South Chapel, Shelburne Road, Burlington on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, from 4 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral of Burlington.
