SCOTT ALDEN PARKER BURLINGTON - Scott Alden Parker, 55, died on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009 in the Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington. He was born in Sherbrooke, Quebec, on Feb. 7, 1954, the son of Alden F. and Joyce (Kezar) Parker. In 2009 he was married to Patricia Stough Sterling. Scott was the owner and operator of the "Cap 'N Cork" convenience store in Colchester. He is survived by his wife Patricia of Colchester; a son Cory Sterling of Colchester; his mother, Joyce Parker of Lennoxville, Quebec; two sisters, Jane & husband Robert Fields and Cheryl & husband David King, all of Colchester; nieces and nephews Cindy & Paul Provost of Essex, Andrew Whyte of Burlington, Randall & Lara Alemy of Milton and Rebecca Alemy of Colchester; greatnieces Maya, Ella and Morgan and great-nephew Gavin. Scott's family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Steven Grunberg, the Oncology Team and the nurses and staff of Shepardson 4 at Fletcher Allen and to Pastor Ryon Price of the United Church of Colchester for their care and support during this difficult time. Also a special thanks to Scott's dear friend Sheila Campbell for her loyal friendship through it all. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009 at 10 a.m. in the Ready Funeral Home North Chapel. Burial will be in the Melvern Cemetery in Lennoxville, Quebec. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Outpatient Oncology Unit of Fletcher Allen Health Care, 100 Colchester Ave., Burlington, VT. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4 to 8 pm in the Ready Funeral & Cremation Service North Chapel, 934 North Ave., Burlington.
