SHIRLEY E. LAVALLEE - WINOOSKI - Shirley E. Lavallee, 89, a longtime resident of Winooski passed away on Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, in Pillsbury Manor South in South Burlington surrounded by her loving family. Shirley was born in Berkshire on Aug. 19, 1923, the daughter of Cammillo and Ida (Guertin) Mosier. She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Bruno Lavallee, in 1994. Shirley worked as a caregiver with Community Health Care in her home, taking care of the elderly. She was a very caring, giving and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed. Shirley is survived by her three children and their spouses, Joanne and Steve Hoke of The Villages, Fla., George and Tracy Lavallee of Milton, and Roger and JoAnna Lavallee of Colchester; grandchildren, Michael, Diane, Julie, Paul, George II, Corey, and Julia; 11 great-grandchildren; and extended family and friends. She was also predeceased by her sister, Rowena Piper; and brothers, Buster, Bo, and Buddy Mosier. Shirley's family would like to thank Pillsbury Manor South for the special care and kindness they gave to her and her family. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are with the LaVigne Funeral Home, 132 Main St. in Winooski.
