STEPHEN CLAPPER Obituary

STEPHEN (STEVE) RICHARD CLAPPER - BRISTOL - It is with great regret, that we announce the departure of a blessed soul, Stephen (Steve) Richard Clapper, on April 15, 2011, age 48. He passed away after a long battle with heart disease in Fletcher Allen Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Bristol, Conn. on May 22, 1962, he will live on in the hearts of his family; his mother, Alice Louise Clapper; as well as his three brothers, Paul, Wallace and wife, Sandy, Bruce and wife, Melissa; and his sister, Donna and husband, Peter Jewell. He was predeceased by his father, Donald Edward Clapper on Sept. 29, 2003; and sister-in-law, Cara O. Clapper on March 10, 2004. We also want to mention his cousin, Sonia, a special person who knew and understood him so well. Steve, graduated from Middlebury Union High School. He was a fighter and hard worker his whole life, having jobs of all kinds, mainly in restaurants. A gambler, gamer, gabber and a member of the American Legion Post #19. Survived by his mother, brothers, sister, nieces, nephew's, greatnieces, great-nephews, and many friends and neighbors. Service arrangements are pending and will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Heart Association Founders Affiliate, 2 Wall Street, Manchester, NH 03101-1518. Kelly and I are very sorry that Stevie is gone. He was a very gentle and funny guy who endured a lot in his short life. Dear Alice and Family,
We are very sorry for your loss of Stevey, I don't think Mark nor I will everyforget Stevey for he was a very huge part of our young lives at the many softball games in Bristol. This is a great loss, for Steve was always there to share a moment to brighten a day. I have such fond memories of the farm with my cousins and always Steve he was one of the family not just the boy who lived up the road.
