FIREFIGHTER/ENGINEER TIMOTHY JOHN BERGERON - WINOOSKI - Firefighter/Engineer Timothy John Bergeron, City of Winooski Fire Deparment, 45, of Winooski, beloved brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend, passed away Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, at home and has gone to be with our father and our mother (who just passed away on Sept. 16, 2013). Timothy was born in Burlington on Dec. 28, 1967, an unexpected gift to our family. He was the son of Jerry and Elaine Bergeron, who loved and adored him. Tim was a graduate of Winooski High School and Champlain College. He enjoyed working for Blodgett Corporation, where he worked for most of his adult life. He was also proud and honored to be part of the Winooski Firefighters Association. It meant the world to him and gave him purpose in his life to be part of an incredible team of men and women serving the City Of Winooski. He had many dear friends at WFD and will be greatly missed. Tim, also known affectionately as "T," "TJ" and "Timmy," had a smile that lit up the room. He gave the biggest and best hugs in the world, and we are going to miss him so much. He had a wonderful singing voice that he inherited from Mom and Dad. He loved watching old movies and listening to all kinds of music. He played the saxophone in high school. Tim was very gifted. He excelled at sports, music and acting. He loved spending time with his beloved mother, who was the love of his life. He always had a way of making you laugh. He was always there to lend a hand and help you out whenever you needed him. Tim is survived by his sisters, Debra and partner, Les Allen, Susan, and Karen Bergeron and partner, Kevin Parizo; brother, David Bergeron; nephew, Scott Boucher and wife, Stacey, and daughter, Anya (Tim's special angel); niece, Katina and her children, Kylei and Paul; aunts, Lorraine Gabbeitt, Teddy Yandow and husband, Ron, and Yvonne Bergeron of Canada; many, many cousins and friends; and his brothers and sisters with the Winooski Firefighters Association. He was predeceased by his mother and father, Elaine and Jerry Bergeron; grandparents; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Tim was a light that will shine forever in our hearts. Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day. "We love you Tim." Visiting hours will be on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the LaVigne Funeral Home, 132 Main St. in Winooski. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Winooski. Interment will follow at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.
