Stuart,
I just happened to check out the Burlington Free Press and am shocked and saddened by the passing of your Dad. He was a wonderful person, always very entertaining and fun. I have fond memories of cross country skiing in the woods behind the houses, the hikes up Mount Mansfield and playing trivial pursuit. And the haircuts and beardtrims on Mother's Day.
May you and yours find comfort in knowing that he led a wonderful life.
With Sympathy and Love, Linda

Dear Mrs. Ashley and to all the Ashley family,
I worked with Dave a bit when directing and playing with the Enosburg Town Band, and was so sorry to hear of his passing. Such a nice man, and I know music meant so much to him. My sympathy goes out to you. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Sandra and family,
I was saddened by the news of David's passing. For many years I worked in the Choral Union as a fellow singer and later as director. David's sense of humor and wit often entertained me and so many others. I pray that the time ahead may be comforted by your great memories and support of friends and each other. Please assured of the thoughts and prayers of both Lynn and I.

Sandra, Dave and I worked together for 7 years at FFF back in the 60's. He was a great teacher to this young structural engineer. He also got me into running---never could keep up with him! Had many a laugh and never a cross word. Great guy for whom I had the most respect. My condolences to you and your family. Carroll Lawes

To David's family:
I sang in Choral Union for many years and always loved being around David. He had such zest for life and loved his music and friends. I haven't seen him in a few years, but always think about his dancing and beard around Christmastime when we would do the Carol Dinners.
My thoughts are with you.

Dear Sandra and family: I was so shocked to read of David's passing in the paper this morning. I saw him less than a month ago at our Beethoven's 9th rehearsal. I was happy to see him still singing, and as he told me, skiing. He helped inspire my running so many years ago in Westford.
My condolences to you and your family. This must be such a shock.
Fondly,
Sally Howe (Pollak)

Dear Sandra and Ashley Family,
I spent most of the day, yesterday, thinking of all of you and the suddenness of David's passing. We shared some tears and fond memories last night at choir, and clearly, David's absence was felt.
Bless you all. Carol Gross
