CLAUDE JOSEPH DOSTIE - NOTRE DAME des BOIS, Quebec - Claude was born on Sept. 10, 1939, in Notre Dame des Bois, Quebec. He passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on Feb. 10, 2014, after a brief battle with cancer. Claude began working at a very young age in the construction industry. He married the love of his life in 1963 and moved to Rochester, N.Y., where they lived for five years. In 1968, they moved to Burlington and he started his own company, Burlington Drywall. Claude operated his business for 22 years, until his retirement in 1990. Claude was an avid outdoorsman with a profound love of hunting, fishing and golf. Claude would be found daily out maintaining the woods that he loved and feeding his deer by the house. He took great pride in his home and surrounding lands. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Gaetane; son, Steve and wife, Lynn; and granddaughter, Madison Dirstine Dostie. Claude was predeceased by his daughter, Carole, in 1994.
