DELIA G. MASTERSON - LINCOLN - Delia G. Masterson, 98, died peacefully, Thursday, March 27, 2014, surrounded by loving family in her Lincoln home. She was born July 27, 1915, in Lincoln, the daughter of Clayton Lathrop and Anna May Hutchins of Lincoln. She was born, raised, married, and made a family in Lincoln. She enjoyed working in her flower garden, and spoiling her grandchildren. She worked at Van Raalte over 30 years, to its close, along with the Dog Team, and was the custodian of the Lincoln Church and Burnham Hall. She was a member of the Starlight Rider's Snowmobile Club, and a longtime member of the Lincoln Ladies Aid and Lincoln Church. She was married to Clifford Masterson for 32 years and widowed Aug. 4, 1965. She was predeceased by her husband, Clifford; her parents; and siblings. She is survived by her children, Patricia and husband, Howard Grimes, Thelma and husband, Donald Grimes Sr., and Vilas Masterson and wife, Walterine, all of Lincoln; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held at Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Bristol on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, from 6 to 8 p.m. A celebration of her life will be held at United Church of Lincoln on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at 10 a.m. Burial will take place in the spring at Maple Cemetery in Lincoln.
