2CASTE040914A.jpg ERNEST P. CASTRO SOUTH BURLINGTON - Ernest P. Castro, 86, of South Burlington, died on Sunday, April 6, 2014. Ernest was from Spain, born on Nov. 7, 1927, the son of Pedro Perez and Delia Castro. Ernest created a successful architectural business in New York City, having won several awards for his achievements in exterior and interior design. He had many interests and hobbies which included art, architecture, music, theater, history, literature and languages. Ernest was a warm, loving, generous man who cared deeply for his family. He was a loyal and dear friend to many and a bright, vivacious, positive spirit, who will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Maria Acosta de Castro of South Burlington; children, Michael and Pilar; and grandchildren, Derek and Colin. Ernest had two deceased brothers, Esteban and Pedro; and is survived by two sisters, Carmendelia and Ofelia, who reside in Spain. The family will welcome friends at Ernest and Maria's home from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2014. Arrangements are by Boucher and Pritchard Funeral Directors.
