She excelled on the Richford High School women's basketball team, and enjoyed skiing and playing golf. She was a loyal fan of the New York Giants, the Boston Celtics, UVM men's and women's basketball, and UVM hockey. For over 60 years, she rarely missed attending a home game of UVM men's basketball. Margaret enjoyed many social activities at the Lake Champlain beach near her home, tending her flower gardens, and she took great pride in keeping her home and landscaping well maintained. Margaret is especially remembered for the loving care given to George during his long illness preceding his death in 1987.
