MARY AGNES CAMPBELL - SOUTH BURLINGTON - Mary Agnes Campbell, 84, of South Burlington, died on Thursday, July 24, 2014, in Fletcher Allen Health Care, in Burlington. She was born Oct. 2, 1929, the daughter of Samuel and Bernadette (Stannard) Thomas. She was a graduate of Cathedral High School class of 1947. On July 1, 1967, she was married in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception to Harold Campbell. He predeceased her in 1984. Mary was employed at the Burlington Police Department from 1961 to 1998 as secretary to seven Police Chiefs. She was a diehard New York Yankees fan and had a great sense of humor. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Patricia A. Thomas of Burlington; also several cousins. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Thomas, in 2008. A special thanks goes to Darlene Peters and Carol Hathaway for their loving care and concern. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 29, 2014, in St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church at 10 a.m., with burial to follow in Resurrection Park Cemetery.
