RICHARD F. MEDLAR - SOUTH BURLINGTON - Richard "Dick/Uncle Bud" F. Medlar, 89, of South Burlington, died unexpectedly on July 25, 2014, in Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington. He was born on Aug. 29, 1924, in Burlington, the son of the late Frank and Myra (Campbell) Medlar. Richard was a very active member of the Christ the King and St. Anthony Catholic Church Parish Community. He is survived by two sisters, Anita Shea and her husband, Paul, and Ruth Cannon and her husband, William; he also leaves 21 nieces and nephews; 29 grandnieces and grandnephews; and two great-grandniece and nephew. Richard was predeceased by his loving wife, Madeline; two infant twin siblings, Frederick and Frieda; his brothers, Howard and Erald; his sister, Marilyn Regan and brother-in-law, Jeremiah Regan; and two sisters-in-law, Dorothy (Moore) and Moonhee (Han) Medlar. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Aug. 1, 2014, at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony Catholic Church in Burlington. Following the Mass, a reception will be held in St. Anthony Church Parish Hall. Interment will be at a later date at the convenience of the family. Visiting hours will be on Thursday, July 31, 2014, from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Ready Funeral and Cremation Service, 261 Shelburne Rd. in Burlington.
