"PUNK" DOLPHIS BLOW BURLINGTON - "Punk" Dolphis Blow, 63, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014, in the Starr Farm Nursing Center surrounded by his family. He was born in Burlington on Nov. 1, 1950, the son of Malcom R. and Cecile (Boucher) Blow. A great man with an unrivaled zest for life, "Punk" Dolphis Blow could effortlessly make anyone laugh themselves into an aching abdomen. He reveled in mischief and quick comebacks, and lived life hard. Whether he was playing golf, watching his beloved Yankees, playing ball himself, or thundering out beats on the drums, Punk did it loud and proud. Vivacious, stubborn, fiercely loyal, and the funniest man you were likely to know, Punk will be sorely missed. To know him was to love him, and he was well-loved. While he spent much time playing and enjoying life, Punk was a truck driver by trade, and part of the Teamsters union. When he wasn't putting miles on the 18-wheeler, he could be found keeping the peace at a number of local watering holes. He served in the US Army and the Vermont Army National Guard in his early life. Punk is survived by his loving wife, Bridgett, of 25 years; the children of whom he was so proud, son, Josh, and daughter, Lori and husband, Jason; and grandsons, Emmett and Mac. Punk is also survived by his devoted brother, Mickey and wife, Becky; and in-laws, Rod and wife, Lisa, and Bob and wife, Dawn; father- and mother-in-law, Bob and Annette Patnode; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends. Punk was predeceased by his parents, Malcom and Cecile Blow; and brother-in-law, Moochie. A special thanks to Frankie Washington (brother from another mother) and Terry King for their devotion and routine visits, as well as to the staff at the Starr Farm Nursing Center for their careful and kind treatment of Punk. Visiting hours will be held at the Elmwood- Meunier Funeral Home, 97 Elmwood Avenue, on Sunday, Aug. 10, 2014, from 2 to 5 p.m. A celebration of Punk's life will be held on Monday, Aug. 11, 2014, at the St. John's Club, Lakeside, in Burlington, beginning at 4 p.m. Memorial donations may be made in Punk's name to Music & Memory: https:// donate-now/.
