ERIC R. SAXON SOUTH HERO - Eric R. Saxon, 48, died Wednesday evening, Aug. 6, 2014, in Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington due to a sudden heart attack. Eric was born on Dec. 29, 1965, in Hempstead, N.Y., the son of Irwin "Gene" and Edith (Bischoff) Saxon. Eric loved hunting, ice fishing, riding his ATV, and motorcycling. He had worked construction and in the heating and ventilating field for many years, and was presently employed by the Local Union #693 as a plumber. He is survived by his son, Kelly Saxon of Lincoln, Neb.; mother, Edith Saxon of South Hero; girlfriend, Lisa Alexander; brothers and sisters, Steven Ziegler and wife, Johna, of Fairfield, Calif., Wendy Moore and husband, William "Monk," of Bakersfield, Calif., Lori Wilson and husband, Bruce, of Vienna, Va., and Mark Saxon and wife, Jennifer, of South Hero; many nieces and nephews; and beloved dog, Ruby. He was predeceased by his father, Gene, in 1982. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Aug. 14, 2014, at noon in the Cornerstone Community Church on Bombardier Road in Milton. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Minor Funeral and Cremation Center, Milton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Eric's memory may be made to either the Cornerstone Community Church, 26 Bombardier Rd., Milton, VT 05468; or to Camp TaKum-Ta, 77 Sunset View Road, South Hero, VT 05486.
