BRUCE R. MABLE - ESSEX JUNCTION - Bruce Reginald Mable, formerly of North Fayston, died in Fletcher Allen Heath Care on Aug. 8, 2014, of cardiac arrest. Bruce was born in Colchester on Nov. 2, 1942, to Wayne and Helen (Rowland) Mable. He worked in home construction, heating and ventilation, and retired from Fluor Daniel Corp. at IBM in 2012. Bruce was a gifted dowser, took pride in gardening and grilling, and loved to boat and fish on Lakes Champlain and Ontario. He owned more than a few Harleys and could be found motorcycling throughout Vermont and New England. Through his life, he and Carol owned many Goldens, the last one, Shadow (named after the Lake), survives him. Bruce was predeceased by his wife of 33 years, Carol (Gonyeau) Mable on Oct. 25, 2005; his parents; and three brothers, Dick, Allen, and Stanley Mable. He is survived by his daughter and grandchildren of Largo, Fla., Cheri Tonova and husband, Rob, and children, Skylar and Anthony. Bruce is also survived by his sisters, Joyce Porter and husband, Bob, of Springfield, Vt., and Jeannette Pecor and husband, Norm, of Essex Junction; and brother, Duane Mable and wife, Sheila, of Penacook, N.H. In addition, he is survived by nieces and nephews, Bob, Gary and Kim Porter, Kathy, Richard, and Greg Mable, Steve Pecor, Angela and Marc Mable, and Dawn, Shawn, and Todd Mable; and his dear friend and companion, Nancy Boutin of Essex Junction, and her family. A memorial service celebrating Bruce's life will be held at a later date. There will be no calling hours. The family invites you to share your memories and condolences by visiting www.awrfh.com.
