PEARL R. PASHA - BURLINGTON - Pearl R. Pasha, a lifelong resident of Burlington, died peacefully in Fletcher Allen Health Care on May 5, 2012. She was born Nov. 15, 1921, the daughter of Ernest and Georgina Pariseau. She married Larry Pasha in 1941 and they enjoyed a 66-year marriage, until Larry died in 2008. They had three children, Linda (deceased), Bruce and Gary. Pearl had a 30-year career working for the Vermont Girl Scout Council. After her retirement, Pearl was active in The Ladies of St. Mark, working in the library and creating crafts to sell at the annual bazaar. She also drove for Meals-On-Wheels in Burlington, to bring hot meals to people in need. Pearl and Larry were avid travelers in their retirement, visiting all 50 states, often in their RV, as well as many countries around the world. Pearl loved the Christmas holidays, decorated her home completely and created a wonderfully warm atmosphere every year. She was especially proud of the Christmas village she created. Pearl was a person of deep faith, attending daily Mass for many years and sitting vigil for adoration weekly. Pearl is survived by her two sons, Gary and Bruce; seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Pearl loved and was loved deeply and is missed dearly. The family would like to express their appreciation for the outstanding care Pearl received while a patient at Fletcher Allen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. in Saint Mark Catholic Church in Burlington. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery. There will be no visiting hours. Arrangements are in the care of the Ready Funeral & Cremation Service, 261 Shelburne Road in Burlington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Franciscan Sisters, c/o Sister Mary Seeley, 100 Mansfield Ave., Burlington, VT 05401.
