WILLIAM F. FITZGERALD - ESSEX JUNCTION - William "Bill" F. Fitzgerald, 88, of Silver Bow Terrace in Essex Junction, died on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, in Pillsbury Manor, with loving family by his side. He was born on April 2, 1924, in Burlington, the son of the late Frank and Helen Pratt Fitzgerald. He served in the Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He retired from IBM after working there for 27 years. He was married to Elizabeth Covillon Fitzgerald for many years, and continued their friendship until her death in 1999. He was an avid fisherman, huntsman and coin collector. Bill is survived by his three children and their spouses, Deborah Brosseau and husband, Robert, Sandra Foley and husband, Bruce, and Laura DeCell and husband, Sidney; grandchildren, Stephen Trombley and family, Douglas Brosseau, Amber Klimas and family, William Bailey IV, Elizabeth Honeycutt and family, Olivia DeCell, and Bryor DeCell; eight greatgrandchildren; his sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Paul Caminiti; and many nieces, nephews and friends He was predeceased by his sister, Sr. Helena Fitzgerald, R.S.M.; a brother, Donald Fitzgerald; and by his granddaughter, Samantha DeCell. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4 Prospect St., in Essex Junction. Interment to follow at Holy Family Cemetery, Rt. 2A in Essex Junction. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Ready Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Mountain View Chapel, 68 Pinecrest Dr., in Essex Junction.
