PHILLIP BLANCHFIELD ALLEN - BURLINGTON - Phillip B. Allen, 69, passed away in his sleep on Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at home from natural causes. Phillip was born on April 10, 1943, in the Bridgeport (Conn.) Hospital to Ralph Lewis and Adele A. (Huber) Allen. He grew up in Fairfield, Conn., graduating from Andrew Warde High School in 1961. The following year, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, honorably serving his country until 1968. Phil attended the University of Central Connecticut, and moved to Vermont where, in 1972, he married Linda Lee Levesque. Their two children, Leah Marie and Ralph Lewis Allen, were born of this union. After 12 years of marriage, Phillip and Linda divorced in 1984. Phil is survived by his daughter, Leah Richmond and husband, Steven, and their children, Kimberly, Andrew and Steven, all of Rome, N.Y.; son, Ralph Allen of Burlington, with whom he made his home; sister and husband, Mary and Robert Gordon of Ferrisburgh; and many nieces and nephews. Phillip is at home with the Lord. May he Rest in Peace. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on upper Pine St., on Saturday, March 2, 2013, at 11 a.m. Elmwood-Meunier in charge.
