Obituary Condolences

CECILE RITA WHITE - MILTON - Cecile Rita White, 83, of Cooper Road, passed away Thursday morning, March 21, 2013, in the Redstone Villa Nursing Home in St. Albans, following a long illness. Cecile was born April 18, 1929, in Milton, the daughter of the late Irving and Harriett King Costello. She was a lifetime Milton resident. In January 1951, Cecile married Donald Israel White, who predeceased her on Aug. 30, 1996. Following her marriage, she became a homemaker, a stay-at-home Mom. She enjoyed baby-sitting for neighbors and some relatives. She also worked for the Sheraton Inn in South Burlington from 1968 to 1971. She was a communicant of St. Ann Catholic Church in Milton. Cecile is survived by her son, Donald White and wife, Marie, of Georgia; two daughters, Audrey Montani of South Hero, and Lisa Luman of Fairfield; eight grandchildren, Dan Montani, Amanda Montani, Jennifer Tinker, Marcey Ross, Myra Rainville, Frank Luman, and JoAnne Saunders; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Jim Costello of Milton; sisters, Beverly Hilton of Burlington, and Betty Bascom of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her son-in-law, Anthony Montani Sr. in 1995; grandson, Anthony Montani Jr. in 1992; brother, Irving Costello Jr.; and sisters, Mary Wood, Dorothy Pecor, and Carol Marie in infancy. She was also predeceased by Henry Saunders. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at 2 p.m. in St. Ann Catholic Church, Main Street in Milton, with Fr. John Feltz, celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Ann's Cemetery on Middle Road. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, March 26, 2013, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Minor Funeral Home, Route 7 in Milton. Vigil Prayers will be offered at 7:45 p.m. by Fr. Feltz. Online condolences may be made at www.minorfh.com.
