BARBARA GRACE ROUNDS BURLINGTON - Barbara G. Rounds went peacefully to be with Our Lord on April 5, 2013, in Fletcher Allen Health Care after brief illness. Barbara was born on July 10, 1919, the daughter of William and Mabel Rounds of South Burlington. Barbara served in the United States Navy during W.W.II, and returned to Vermont after being honorably discharged. Barbara spent many years working in retail on Church Street and also became a licensed beautician. Barbara's spirit was always generous and devoted to helping others. From the care of her elderly grandmother in Barbara's youth to the many different charitable organizations to which she volunteered countless hours, Barbara was always smiling regardless of how she was feeling and always had time to listen to others. Barbara was an inspiration to all who knew her. Barbara is survived by two nephews, Michael Mitiguy and John Mitiguy, both of Colchester; along with numerous grandnephews, grandnieces; and many god children. She was predeceased by her sister, Thelma Mitiguy McCaffrey in 2010. Barbara's family would like to express appreciation to the nursing staff at Fletcher Allen for the compassionate care she received in her final days. Also, to the staff at St. Joseph's Residential Care Home for the loving care she received there. There will be no visiting hours and private funeral arrangements will be at the discretion of the family. Interment will be at Resurrection Park, South Burlington.
