MONIQUE I. WAKEFIELD - ST. ALBANS - Monique I. Wakefield, a longtime area resident, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2013, in the Florida Hospital, in Zephyrhills, Fla., with her loving family and friends at her side. She was born in Johnson, on Sept. 30, 1942, the daughter of the late Jeffrey and Cora (Pigeon) Brosseau. On Oct. 22, 1966, in St. Mary's Catholic Church, she married Richard "Dick" Wakefield, who survives her. Monique was a 1961 graduate of Enosburg High School, and for 17 years she worked at Franklin County Home Health Agency. She enjoyed sewing, camping in the motor home, and spending winters in Florida. She was a member of Winnebago International Travelers and the Franklin County Senior Center. With her wit, sense of humor, and ability to organize activities, she will be greatly missed. Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Richard of St. Albans; their three sons, James and his wife, Zuzana, of Prague, Czech Republic; Scott and his three daughters, Grace, Jennifer and Jane, of Waltham, Mass.; and Keith and his wife, Kelly, of Fairfax. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, May 20, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 So. Main St., St. Albans. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Angels Church, Lake Street, on Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at 11 a.m. Private messages of condolence are welcome at www.healdfuneralhome.com.
