PAUL YVON PERRAS - GRANBURY, Texas - Paul Yvon Perras, 86, of Granbury, Texas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 7, 2013, at his home in Pecan Plantation. Paul was born March 21, 1927, in Burlington, to Henri and Laudina (Tellier) Perras. Paul served his country with honor with the U.S. Navy in World War II aboard the U.S.S. Feland. He later served with honor in Korea with the U.S. Marine Corps, and was a member of Howe Company, 3rd Battalion, 7th Regiment. He remained in touch with many of his surviving brotherhood right until the end. Paul married the love of his life, Edna Lois Reynolds, in 1963. Edna predeceased Paul in November 2005. Paul and Edna were longtime members of the South Burlington business community, owning and operating Paul's Towne Cleaners on Shelburne Road, until their retirement in 1990. Paul and Edna loved to travel and were frequent visitors to Hawaii. They also enjoyed trips to Europe, China, and one of their favorites, sailing through the Panama Canal. Paul is survived by his two sons, James Bradley Perras of Pacific Grove, Calif., and David Paul Perras and his wife, Lisa, of Granbury, Texas; siblings, Lionel Perras, Jill Albert, Lillian Prue, and John Perras, all of Vermont. In addition, Paul is survived and was loved dearly by his grand- children, Josh, Scott, Morgan, Lisa, Lydia, David, Celia, and Ilana; as well as many longtime friends. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2013, at 10 a.m. at the Ready Funeral Home South Chapel, 261 Shelburne Road, Burlington, with burial to follow in Lakeview Cemetery, North Avenue, Burlington.
