NANCY JEAN BARAL - GEORGIA - Nancy Jean Baral, 74, formerly of South Windsor, Conn., who for the past three years has made her home with her son, Richard I. Baral Jr., of Georgia, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, April 13, 2013, at home. Born in Hartford, Conn., Feb. 28, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Milo and Beatrice (Goodwin) Boyington. In her earlier years, Nancy lived and attended schools in Bloomfield, Conn., then later resided in South Windsor. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a dietary aide at the South Windsor Nursing Home and Convalescent Center in Connecticut. Nancy was a sports enthusiast and an ardent fan of the University of Connecticut "UConn Huskies" Basketball Teams. She enjoyed teaching and playing card games with friends and family. During the holidays those closest to Nancy looked forward to pumpkin bread, cheese balls, and peanut butter fudge, baked with love. She leaves her son, Richard I Baral Jr. and his partner, David M. Rocheleau of Georgia; two grandsons, Jason Baral and his wife, Joy Wyman of Syracuse, N.Y. and Eric Baral of Milton; her brother, Richard Boyington and his wife, Elaine of Enfield, Conn.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 20, 2013, at 2 p.m. in the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main St., St. Albans, with Rev. Elizabeth Griffin officiating.
