FRANK J. O'CONNOR - BURLINGTON - Frank J. O'Connor, 83, died peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, in the Grand Islander Center, Middletown, R.I., with his sister by his side. Frank was born in the Bronx, N.Y., Feb. 28, 1929, the eldest child of Frank R. and Eleanor (Kennington) O'Connor. He was the loving and devoted husband of the late Julia P. O'Connor. Frank was an Air Force Veteran serving during the Korean War. Frank and Julia moved to Pleasant Avenue, Burlington in 1971 where he was Sales Manager for Burroughs Corp. He was a member of St. Mark's Parish and served as parish coordinator for Meals on Wheels with his wife for over 17 years. Frank was a long-standing member of the Lake Champlain Yacht Club in Shelburne. He is survived by two sisters, Eleanor Chase of Jamestown, R.I., and Patricia Langdon and her husband, J. David of Lady Lake, Fla.; his brother, Charles and his wife, Laura, of Bergenfield, N.J.; three sisters-in-law, Mary O'Connor of Millington, N.J., Maureen O'Connor of Port Charlotte, Fla., and Maureen Leahy and her husband, Jack, of Fishkill, N.Y.; a brother-in-law, Eugene Manama and his wife, Louise, of Jackson, N.J.; and many nephews and nieces. He was the brother of the late John and Richard O'Connor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 11, 2013, at 11 a.m. in St. Mark Catholic Church, Burlington. Burial will follow in Resurrection Park Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of the Ready Funeral & Cremation Service South Chapel, 261 Shelburne Rd., Burlington.
