PATRICIA A. PERRY PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. - Patricia A. Perry passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013, in Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, following a remarkably short, but hard fought battle with breast cancer. Pat worked for Homeland Security out of St. Albans. She was born in St. Albans on July 21, 1959, the daughter of Julian Ballard Perry and the late Ethelyn Roche Perry. Besides her father and his wife, Becky Boulanger, Pat is survived by three brothers and their wives, Dave and Mary Ann Perry of Landaff, N.H., Michael and Tammy Perry of No. Bangor, N.Y., and Dennis and Jean Perry of Vermont. Also surviving are four nieces, five nephews, eight grandnieces, six grandnephews and eight cousins, including her "sister," Susan Donna Bordeau of Plattsburgh, N.Y.; and two aunts, Rae Roche and Josephine Smith. Pat and her German Shephard, Sasha, spent many years as active members of Therapy Dogs of Vermont. As such, they made numerous visits to people in need of comfort throughout New York and Vermont. They also made regular Sunday visits to CVPH, seeing nearly 100 patients weekly. Cancer took Sasha last fall, leaving Pat without her constant companion of almost 12 years. Pat had plans to train her new Shephard, Willow, for therapy dog work. In accordance with Patricia's wishes, there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at 2 p.m. at St. Peter's Church with a reception to follow. Interment will be in Vermont at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad Street, Plattsburgh, N.Y. Online condolences and memorial candles may be offered at www.brown funeralhomeinc.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered to Therapy Dogs of Vermont; or the Breast Cancer Center at Fletcher Allen Health Care.
