BEVERLY J. BROWN - COLCHESTER - Beverly J. Brown, 65, went home to be with the Lord on Oct. 29, 2013, in Massachusetts General Hospital, following a long battle with liver disease, with her loving family by her side. Bev was born on Aug. 16, 1948, the daughter of Kermet and Beverly J. (Casavant) Eldred. Beverly was married on June 29, 1968, in Belvidere, to Neale Brown. Beverly worked at the Colchester School System for 23 years, in the food service department. She cared for foster children, as well as faithfully serving in church as a teacher in children's church ministry. Beverly persevered through many years of illness. She was greatly comforted by her sweet little dog, Tyler, whom misses her greatly. Beverly trusted her Lord and Savior every step of the way since a little girl. She was a strong woman of faith. Beverly was a loving and faithful wife to Neale for 45 years, was a nurturing mother of six children, and an adoring grandmother of 13 grandchildren. She will be missed greatly, but remembered always in our hearts. Her legacy of love and faith will live on in our hearts. She is survived by her children, Paula Poquette and husband, Brian, Sarah Malusky and husband, Aaron, Christine Hazard and husband, Brian, Harvey Brown and wife, Terry, Rebecca Brown, Elizabeth Benson, and Kevin Bombard; 13 grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Arthur Tanner, Kermet Eldred Jr., Deborah Wimberley, Valerie Gabbiett, Pamela Lyzanchuk, and Darlene Shearer. Bev was predeceased by her parents; sons, Andrew and Phillip; son-in-law, Michael Benson; and sisters-in-law, Wanda Pons and Glenna Kirkland. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Minor Funeral and Cremation Center in Milton. A funeral service will be held on Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, at 11:30 a.m. in the Church of the Rock, located in St. Albans. Burial will follow in the Belvidere Cemetery.
