That we should all live a life that is as rich and giving as Sally Fox's. . . The tributes to her bespeak her incredible commitment to humankind. The world was a brighter, more hopeful place with Sally a part of it. With profound sadness and sympathy.

I am so saddened by the news of Sally's passing. She was an amazing woman, an important mentor to me, and fought so tenaciously for vulnerable Vermonters. She was also hilariously funny--spent last night watching videos of her in Capital Cabarets where her wit and talent shone so brightly. My thoughts are with you all.

I was privileged to have known Sally since her days at Vermont Legal Aid. As many others have said, and it is certainly true, that Sally worked tirelessly on behalf of those who didn't have access.
And it is equally true that in the best tradition of the Freeman's Oath, she was a true public servant who always acted without fear or favor to any person.
My life has been made richer for having known and worked with Sally; I will miss you my friend. And may all of us - family and friend alike - find our Way to a place of Peace.

Whether one agreed with the political stances of Sally, she commanded respect for her willingness to serve her public and to be a voice for those that felt they had none otherwise. She will be remembered in a positive light for her dedication to those in need of feeling they mattered; most especially the children. May GOD give her family the emotional strength they will need to cope with their loss... and may she rest in peace.
