Amory was instrumental in the finding of our little daughter when she was abducted in Chester, Vermont 53 years ago. He was always our hero. We shared a lot of pride and joy watching our kids grow up.
He and my husband were somewhat challenged while lowering the level of a jug of wine and hanging striped wallpaper. Alas, the finished product was not up to par although they DID get it on the slanted wall. He and my husband went on many fishing trips and were successful at smoking cigars, telling stories, having a beer, watering trees and sometimes even managing to catch brook .trout. He was always a wonderful friend and right there in god times and bad.
Lean back in your cloud, dear friend, you have earned your rest but keep an eye out for Ralph and Bev who will eventually join you.

Amory was instrumental in bringing lifelong learning opportunities to Vermont. He built a strong BHS Evening and Summer School that served as a model for other communities, and gave selflessly of his own time and experience to help them build theirs. I much enjoyed our time working and playing together.
