Derek S. Brunelle, 35, died unexpectedly on Sunday July 23, 2017 at his home.
Derek was born on August 18, 1981 in Burlington the son of Steven and Valarie "Goldie" (McMahon) Brunelle.
He had been employed for over 14 years at Med. Associates in Georgia, VT.
Derek loved music and to write songs. He enjoyed painting and drawing, hiking and most importantly spending time with his sons.
He is survived by his sons Tré Steven Brunelle and Mason Louis Brunelle and their mother Christina of Colchester, by his parents Steven and Goldie Brunelle of Colchester, his brother Josh Brunelle and Katie Line of Burlington, his sister Nikki Hoague and husband Aaron of Swanton and his nephews Zachary, Isac, Tristan, Dedric and Izaiah, his half sister Stephanie O'Dorisio of CO. , his maternal grandparents Richard and Ruth McMahon of Winooski and by several uncles, aunts and cousins.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Frank and Pauline Kemp.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 4-7pm with a funeral service at 7pm in the Minor Funeral and Cremation Center in Milton.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Milton High School Music Department, 17 Rebecca Lander Lane, Milton, VT 05468 for a music scholarship in Derek's memory.
