Brian Charles Cornetti
Brian Charles Cornetti, 54, of Prospect was recovered Sunday afternoon after a boating accident at Lake Arthur in Moraine State Park on Friday, Oct. 26, 2012.
Born March 3, 1958, he was the son of the late Charles "Chuck" Cornetti Jr. and Marjorie Fassinger Cornetti.
Brian graduated from Slippery Rock High School in 1976 and received a degree in forest management from West Virginia University in 1980. He worked for Weyerhaeuser and later for Tyco in Harmony for 23 years until it closed. He then worked for the Youth Development Center in New Castle.
He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed anything that would keep him outdoors, especially hunting with his dog, Ringo. His biggest joys in life were his family and working on his property. Brian was a hard worker with an easy going and generous nature that will be missed by all who knew him.
Brian was a lifelong member of Saint Christopher at the Lake Roman Catholic Church in Prospect, where he married his wife, Valerie Daubenspeck Cornetti, 18 short years ago on March 19, 1994.
In addition to his wife Valerie, Brian is survived by his mother, Marjorie of Prospect; his maternal grandmother, Margaret Fassinger, formerly of the Whitestown area; his brothers, Keith of Hilliards and Steven of Zelienople; one sister, Diane Bryan and her husband, Barry, of Bradford and their sons, Justin and Tyler of Pittsburgh; and one sister-in-law, Leah Watson and her husband, Donald, and their son, Joshua, of Charleston, W.Va. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Cornetti Jr.; a sister, Sherry; his paternal grandparents, Charles and Teresa Cornetti Sr.; and his maternal grandfather, Robert Fassinger.
CORNETTI - Friends of Brian Charles Cornetti, who died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, will be received at Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
