Timothy Glover Jr., 91, of Butler passed away Wednesday at the Concordia Lutheran Ministries.
Born on Nov. 6, 1922, in Goff, Pa., he was the son of the late Timothy and Minnie Rider Glover.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 30 years, serving from May 1942 until October 1972.
Following his retirement, he was employed in the maintenance department for 10 years at Edgecomb Steel, Millford, Conn. He then was employed in the maintenance department for the Millford School District for 10 years.
He was known as a soft-spoken and kind man who enjoyed a good cigar and a Scotch.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 117, Butler.
Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his three brothers and his three sisters.
GLOVER - There will be no public visitation for Timothy Glover Jr., 91, of Butler, who passed away Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Geibel Funeral Home, Butler.
