Baptiste, Aime Anthony - Kalamazoo  
Aime Anthony Baptiste, beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend, 85, of Kalamazoo, Mich., passed away on Thursday after a brief illness. Born on Dec. 9, 1929, to Aime Sr. and Katherine (Duncan) Baptiste in Butler. He completed high school in Butler. He married Shirley A. McCormick on June 24, 1949, who preceded him in 1985. They had eight children together. In 1990, he was married to Sandra Stampfler. Aime loved playing baseball and coaching Little League baseball when his sons were participating. Aime was also a member of the Butler Independent Order of Odd Fellows, the First United Methodist Church choir and the Musical Theatre Group of Butler. Aime was well known in Butler for his various roles in musical theater productions, including "South Pacific" and "Anything Goes." He also performed in “Anything Goes” at the Kalamazoo Civic Theater after moving to Kalamazoo in 1974. Aime worked for many years on the B&O railroad in Butler. He then went to work for the Penn Corp. as a traffic manager, which allowed him to transfer to Beach Products in Kalamazoo where he worked until his retirement in 1997. Aime loved dancing with his wife, gardening, spoiling his dog Beau, seeing his grandchildren, cooking and going to spend Thanksgiving in Indianapolis with his family every year. He was preceded in death by his first wife Shirley Baptiste; his parents; brothers, Eugene, Max, Raymond (Spitz) and Leonard; and sisters, Pauline Souzer and Delphine Chambers. He is survived by his eight children, Randy (Joni) of Amesbury, Mass., Gary (Peggy) of Butler, Cheryl (Duane Brundage) of Indianapolis, Ind., Kevin (Susie) of Columbia, Va., Jeff (Tammy) of Allegan, Mich., Brynn (Kathy) of Otsego, Mich., Douglas (Lisa) of Richland, Mich., and Aimee (Mark Malott) of Noblesville, Ind.; stepchildren, Sandy Kay Stampfler of Largo, Fla., Dale Hageman of Kalamazoo, Kelly Scott of Kalamazoo, Kim Woodard (Jim) of Kalamazoo and John Stampfler (Mardie) of Kalamazoo; 30 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law. He always said his greatest accomplishment was his family. He is also survived by lifelong best friends Tom Della Santa of Butler and Larry Whipple of Kalamazoo. BAPTISTE - There will be a celebration of life for Aime Anthony Baptiste, who died Thursday, May 21, 2015, at 2 p.m. Saturday at the VFW 1920 East Kilgore Road, Portage, Mich. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to The Cleveland Clinic, care of Dr. Brian Rubin, Mail Code L25, 9500 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44195 for EHE research in honor of his oldest son, Randy who is fighting this dreaded disease. Boughton, Ruth A.M. - Mars  
Ruth A.M. Boughton, 92, of St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars, formerly of Butler, died Tuesday afternoon at St. John's. Ruth was born in Baltimore, Md., on June 20, 1922, the daughter of the late Rev. Henry and Elsie Eberle. Ruth married David Boughton on Feb. 16, 1974, on Staten Island, N.Y. He preceded her in death on May 2, 1990. In addition to her parents and her husband, Ruth was preceded in death by her brother, Roger Eberle, and an infant brother. She is survived by many loving cousins, both locally and around the country. Ruth attained her degree in nursing at South Baltimore General Hospital in 1943 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a captain in the Nursing Corps from 1944 to 1946. She was held briefly as a prisoner of war by the Germans during her time in Europe. After her discharge from the Army, she spent 10 years as a missionary and nurse in India. Upon her return to the United States, she earned certification in gerontology and worked for Eager Lutheran Hospital in Brookline, N.Y., until she retired in 1985 and moved with her husband to Butler. She was an active volunteer for 22 years at St. John Specialty Care Center until September 2009 and was devoted to God and caring for others. She was a member of the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Connoquenessing, president of the American Lutheran Church Women and served on many committees and boards involving the Lutheran Church. BOUGHTON - Friends of Ruth A.M. Boughton, who died Tuesday, May 26, 2015, are invited to a memorial service at the St. John Specialty Care Center Chapel, 500 Wittenberg Way, Mars at 2 p.m. June 3. Rearick, June E. - Butler  
June E. Rearick, 45, of Butler died Sunday at Butler Memorial Hospital. Born Aug. 11, 1969, in Butler, she was a daughter of Cora Sue Tirk and the late Donald G. Rearick Sr. She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Cora Sue Tirk and Robert M. Tirk of Petrolia; one son, David Roberto of New Brighton, Pa.; three brothers, Ronald C. (Kelly) Rearick, Charles W. (Brandie) Rearick and Donald G. (Crystal) Rearick Jr., all of Butler; one sister, Jeannie M. (Tim) Shields of Lakeland, Fla.; her friend, Marlene Huff of Lyndora; and a number nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald G. Rearick Sr.; her daughter, Jessica Roberto; her sister, Debra Sue Chura; and her stepmother, Nancy Rearick. REARICK - Private services for June E. Rearick, who died Sunday, May 24, 2015, will be planned for her family. Arrangements are being handled by the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.

Rider, Marilyn "Mimi" - Meridian  
Marilyn Burdick "Mimi" Rider, 92, a longtime resident of Meridian passed away at noon Tuesday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice. She was born Oct. 9, 1922, in Hilliards to the late Fred Burdick and Velma (McCune) Burdick. Mrs. Rider was a graduate of Concord High School, then went on to earn a bachelor's degree in education from Slippery Rock State Teacher's College and also received a master's degree from the University of Pittsburgh. She worked as an elementary teacher in the Butler Public Schools in the Butler Community for 31 years, retiring in 1985. Mrs. Rider was a member of the Meridian United Presbyterian Church, the Butler Literary Club, the Alpha Sigma Education Society and the League of Women Voters. Mrs. Rider is survived by her one son, David Rider and his wife, Sherry, of Bloomsburg, Pa.; one daughter, Leslie Miller and her husband, Roger, of Maumee, Ohio; six grandchildren, Chris Rider and his wife, Eileen, Andrew Rider and his wife, Janelle, Jessica Rider-Amin and her husband, Nafeez, Paige Wietelmann and her husband, Jon, Steve Miller and his wife, Wendy, and Sarah Miller; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Diane Kosick and her husband, Regis, of Boyers; two sister-in-laws, Patricia Burdick and Peggy Rider; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Eugene Rider, who she married March 16, 1944, and who passed away April 17, 1989; one brother, William Burdick; and three sisters, Virginia Christy, Vivian DeSantis and Ruth Ann Dietz. RIDER - Friends of Marilyn Burdick "Mimi" Rider, who died Tuesday, May 26, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Roger Miller, son-in-law of the deceased and the retired reverend of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Maumee, Ohio, officiating. Burial will take place in Butler County Memorial Park. Soltesz, Gloria Elizabeth - Saint Ann  
Gloria Elizabeth Soltesz (née Leonard) of Missouri, fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church, passed away on May 19. Gloria was born in Argentine and was the daughter of the late Joseph Leonard and Rose M. Varan Leonard. She was a former member of St. Alphonus Parish. Gloria was the beloved wife of Julius Soltesz; dearest mother of Amy Marie Hamilton (née Soltesz) and the late Joel Christopher Soltesz; dear grandmother of Jeramy Michael Hamilton and Julie Elizabeth Hamilton; dear sister of Diana (Robert) Kehn of Meadville and the late Frank Leonard; and our dear sister-in-law, niece, aunt and friend to many. SOLTESZ - Following visitation and services in Missouri for Gloria Elizabeth Soltesz, who died Tuesday, May, 19, 2015, the family will receive friends at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury, from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at the St. Louis Catholic Church with the Rev. Dudeck, Richard J. - Gibsonia  
Richard J. Dudeck, 76, of Gibsonia and Cape Canaveral, Fla., formerly of Rochester, N.Y., died Friday afternoon at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township. Born on Feb. 16, 1939, in Yonkers, N.Y., he was the son of the late Michael and Anna Damczek Dudeck. A graduate of Manhattan University, Richard was an information systems analyst and manager for Eastman Kodak for 30 years. After retirement, he continued his education to become a certified financial planner and did financial planning. A member of St. Kilian Church, he was an avid golfer and coin collector, but he especially treasured the times spent with his family. Surviving are his wife, Madeleine Falcone Dudeck, whom he married on July 7, 1962; one daughter, Christine Valenta and her husband, Paul, of Gibsonia; one son, Richard J. Dudeck Jr. and his wife, Rhonda, of Tulsa, Okla.; and his grandchildren, Riley and Leslie Barnes, Garrett and Perrin Dudeck and Michaela and Nicholas Valenta. He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Dudeck, II. DUDECK - Friends of Richard J. Franklin, Janie L. - Sarver  
Janie L. Franklin, 64, of Sarver passed away Saturday at her home. Born Sept. 26, 1950, in Natrona Heights, Harrison Township, she was the daughter of James T. Young and Esther I. Thompson Young. Janie had worked for Moonlight Mushrooms, VA Butler Healthcare and was a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving from 1973 to 1993. She attended the Sarver Wesleyan Methodist Church. She was member of the American Legion, life member of the Sarver Vets Club, VA Butler Healthcare Women Veterans, Air Force Sergeant's Association, life member of the Retired Enlisted Association, member of the Women's Memorial and life member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary 64. She enjoyed reading, traveling, spending time with her family and friends and was a Girl Scout leader. Surviving are her brothers, Paul J. (Cathy) Young of Arizona and John R. (Gloria) Young of Sarver; her sisters, Delores "Dorrie" Young of Sarver and Joanne E. Harrity of Sarver; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jack Franklin, in 2000. FRANKLIN - Friends of Janie L. Franklin, who died Saturday, May 23, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Fox Funeral Home, Saxonburg. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. David Duvall officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Airy Cemetery.
