Amelia B. "Millie" Kradel, 90, of Butler passed away Saturday evening at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born on Oct. 31, 1923, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Frank Orlando and Ernestine (Pappalardo) Orlando.
Millie had worked in the Hostess Shoppe at the Butler Memorial Hospital for 20 years, retiring in 1992.
She was a member of the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler, the St. Paul's Guild and AARP. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
Surviving are her two sons, Charles H. (Patty) Kradel of Butler and Terry L. (Pam) Kradel of East Butler; her daughter, Linda (Allen) Wiles of East Butler; her six grandchildren, Tracie (Jim) Williams, Chad Wiles, Tanya Stevenson, Todd Kradel, Eric (Katie) Kradel, and Chelsea Kradel; her six great-grandchildren, and her sister, Mary Hartle of Butler.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard C. Kradel, who died on Jan. 27, 1987; her four brothers, and three sisters.
Kradel- There will not be a visitation for Amelia B. "Millie" Kradel, who passed away Saturday, July 5, 2014.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler, with the Rev. Harry Bielewicz, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Butler.
St. Paul's Catholic Women and Christian Mothers will meet at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church to recite the rosary.
In lieu of flowers, Millie's family requests donations be made to Meals on Wheels, 218 E. Jefferson St., Butler, PA 16001.
Arrangements are by the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.
