Ann Horan, 88, of Butler died Saturday afternoon at her home.
Born on Dec. 14, 1924, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Steve and Anna Podobensky.
Ann was a homemaker and a member of the St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Meridian.
Surviving are her sons, John B. (Betty) Horan Jr. and James S. (Janie) Horan, all of Butler; her daughter, Joyce Goettler and her son, Alex Goettler, Ann's grandson, with whom she made her home. Her nine grandchildren, her 12 great-grandchildren, her two great-great-grandchildren, and her sister-in-law, Ann Podobensky of Butler, also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Horan Sr., who she married on April 23, 1946, and who died April 16, 2000, and her three brothers, Steve, Harry and Nick Podobensky.
HORAN - The friends of Ann Horan, who died Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, will be received at the St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church, 125 Buttercup Road, Meridian from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 a.m. The Rev. James Murphy, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.
