Charles W. Kobert
Charles W. Kobert, 85, of Butler passed away Saturday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
He was born Aug. 22, 1927, in Pittsburgh, and was the son of Herman and Esther Yester Kobert.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific.
He worked as a boilermaker for U.S. Steel at the Saxonburg sintering plant, retiring in 1984.
Surviving are two sons, John W. (Darla) Kobert of Butler and Gary W. Kobert of Butler; one sister, Dorothy Ollio of Pittsburgh; four grandchildren, Joseph (Krystine) Kobert, Nikki (Colan) Braun, Todd (Lisa) Kobert and Joshua (Samantha) Kobert, six great- grandchildren, and six stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Anna Marie Medwick Kobert, who passed away on June 3, 2007, and one brother, Robert Kobert.
KOBERT - There will be no visitation for Charles W. Kobert, who passed away Saturday, April 27, 2013. Entombment will be in the Butler County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
