Edward Rodney Cary Sr.
Edward Rodney Cary Sr., 84, of Cranberry Township, formerly of Avalon, passed away Monday at Good Samaritan Hospice.
Edward was born May 9, 1929, in Shenandoah, Va.
Edward was a past commander of the American Legion Post 116 Avalon, and retired from Billco Manufacturing in Zelienople.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He is survived by his wife, Edith (Hood) Cary; his children, Darlene (Mark) Sansone, Edward R. Cary Jr., Doreen Cary and Tami (Robert) Kuny; his grandchildren, Bill (Cary) Davis, Matthew (Lindsay) Cary, Mark (Kristen) Sansone Jr., Brandon Cary, Gregory Sansone and Chelsea and Alysia Kuny; his great-grandchildren, Miles Cary, Addison Sansone and Owen Cary; his sisters, Alice Bevington and Sandra (John) Hart, and his stepbrother, Melvin Messmer.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy Farren and Donna Towers.
CARY - The visitation for Edward Rodney Cary Sr., who passed away Monday, July 22, 2013, will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Devlin Funeral Home, 2678 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township. The services will be at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Thursday. Interment will be in Mount Royal Cemetery in Glenshaw.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the , the Butler County VA, or the Good Samaritan Hospice of Wexford.
