Emma Ruth Alworth, 91, of Eldorado, near Parker, died early Sunday evening at the Chicora Medical Center following a length illness.
Born Nov. 27, 1914, in Eau Claire, she was the daughter of Melvin and Eva Stalker.
Mrs. Alworth was a member of the Robinson Chapel United Church in Parker.
She had been employed for more than 26 years at the former Knox Glass Corp. of Parker.
She enjoyed gardening and growing assorted flowers. She was an active member of the Senior Center in Bruin.
She is survived by a son, Boyd Alworth and his wife, Nancy, of Eldorado; a granddaughter; a sister, Cora Stalker Snyder of Florida and of Eau Claire, and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Alworth in 1968. Also preceding her in death were a son, Melvin M. Alworth in 1993; a grandson; a sister, and four brothers.
ALWORTH - Friends of Emma Ruth Alworth, who died Saturday, May 6, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the H. Jack BUZARD Funeral Home in Eau Claire. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Eau Claire Cemetery.
