George L. 'Larry' Cummings
George L. "Larry" Cummings, 82, of Fort Collins, Colo., passed away Sunday.
Larry was born on July 16, 1930, in Butler to Menelaus and Elizabeth (McDowell) Cummings.
He graduated from Penn State University with a degree in forestry.
Larry married Eliza Jane Radcliffe in March of 1951, in State College, Pa. They traveled for the next 23 years while he served in the U.S. Air Force, until his retirement in 1975 when he and Liza settled in Loveland, Colo. Liza passed away in 1985. Larry married Mary Whitehill Daum on Nov. 5, 1988, in Annapolis, Md.
After the military, he worked with Food Maker Inc. for 10 years. He enjoyed jewelry making, hunting, fishing and his family. Larry was a loving father to his wife and children, a patriot to his country, serving in both Korea and Vietnam, and enjoyed handing out treats to all the local dogs in his Tamarisk neighborhood.
Larry is survived by his wife, Mary; son, George (Ok Cha) Cummings Jr. of Dallas, Texas; daughters, Deborah Cummings of Thornton, Colo., Christine "Chrissie" (Don) Hall of Richmond, Va., Kathy Cummings of Vail, Colo., and Connie "Treeps" (Chuck Gerlovich) Cummings of Houston, Texas.
CUMMINGS - There will be a private family graveside service for George L. "Larry" Cummings, who passed away Sunday, June 9, 2013.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Allnutt Funeral Service, Loveland, Colo.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Larimer County Humane Society in care of the Allnutt Funeral Service.
