Glenn W. Eagle

Glenn W. Eagle, 93, of Butler went to be with his Lord on Friday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler.
Born on March 17, 1921, in Royersford, he was a son of the late J. David and Elizabeth Corson Eagle.
He was an ordained elder in the Church Of The Nazarene, having pastored churches in New Jersey, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Colorado. He was a member of the Church Of The Nazarene, Butler. He loved studying the word of God and working with his hands doing construction of buildings.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret Rosalyn Wade Eagle, who he married on Dec. 28, 1946; a son, Nelson (Nancy) Eagle of Aurora, Colo.; three daughters, Sheryl Eagle of Butler, Beth (Rev. Gene) Hill of Butler, and Deborah Spurgeon of Katy, Texas; a sister, Mary A. Eagle of Butler; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Eagle, and a sister, Eunice Eagle.
Eagle - The friends of Glenn W. Eagle, who passed away Friday, Aug. 8, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Church of the Nazarene, 4410 Oakdale Road and West Route 68, Butler, with Pastor Keven Wentworth officiating. Interment will follow at the Deer Creek Cemetery, Cheswick.
