Gloria M. Bartoe, 85, of Bruin passed away at 5:20 p.m. Saturday at the VNA Hospice in Butler following an illness.
Born in Goff, July 10, 1925, she was the daughter of Joseph G. and E. Georgetta Gaiser Kiser, who are deceased.
Gloria graduated from Karns City High School in 1942, and served with the Butler County Rationing Board during World War II. After the war, she worked at Starlight Refinery in Karns City.
Gloria was a Protestant.
Surviving are a daughter, Marie (Buck) Ridley of Bruin; a son, Randy Bartoe of Dearborn, Mich.; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She also is survived by three sisters, Imogene Sloan of Grove City, Janet St. John of Ashtabula, Ohio, and Kathy Barron of Leesburg, Va.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Dale Bartoe, who she married June 26, 1946, and who died in October 2000; one son, Joseph D. "Joe" Bartoe, who died in 1998; and by her brothers Eugene Kiser and Joe Kiser.
BARTOE - Private visitation and funeral services for Gloria M. Bartoe, who died Saturday, March 5, 2011, were today at the H. JACK BUZARD FUNERAL HOME in Parker. A private burial was at Bear Creek Cemetery in Petrolia.
