James P. Sullivan
James P. Sullivan, 39, of Chicora was dead on arrival at ACMH Hospital early Sunday morning.
He was born July 21, 1973, in Butler, and was the son of Rose Blalock Sullivan and the late James F. Sullivan.
He served his country with the U.S. Air Force from 1992 to 1994 during the Persian Gulf War.
He was employed by Jason Gasbey Flooring in Butler.
He was a loving son, brother, amazing uncle, and protector of his family, friends, and anyone in need. He graduated from Karns City High School.
He is survived by his mother, Rose Blalock Sullivan; five sisters, Sharon Dalcamo (Mike) of Isle Road, Butler, Rosie Shriver (Chad) of Meridian, Frances Sullivan of Manassas, Va., Michele Slater (Rick) of Chicora and Carolyn Call of New York; his nieces and nephews, Kimberly Sullivan, Cole and Cara Dalcamo, Lani Fetterman, Shali and Braden Slate, Alexis Shriver, Jessica Ackley and Leah Jones.
He was preceded in death by his father, James F. Sullivan; a nephew, Jeremy Steele; and a niece, Brittany Sullivan.
SULLIVAN - Friends of James P. Sullivan, who passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Steighner Funeral Home, 111 E. Slippery Rock and Main St., Chicora.
A celebration of his life will be held with a Mass of Christian burial at the St. Mary's of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Herman, at 10 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Wade Stakem, OFM, CAP, pastor officiating.
Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, 824 Herman Road, Herman.
