Margaret Dyer, 76, of Valencia, passed away Wednesday at Alle-Kiski Medical Center in Natrona Heights surrounded by her family.
She was born Sept. 7, 1936, in Center Township, and was the daughter of the late Albert James and Mary (Welsh) Martsolf.
Margaret was a member of the Glade Run Presbyterian Church where she was a deacon for many years. She enjoyed camping, playing bingo, doing crafts, decorating cakes and making floral arrangements. She was a member of the Jefferson Grange and the Butler County Pomona Grange, and had worked in the cafeteria for 20 years for the Seneca Valley School District.
Surviving are her husband, Paul Dyer, who she married May 18, 1957; two daughters, Sherry (Ken) Kaib of Valencia and Carol (Scott) Jamison of Evans City; five grandchildren, Jennifer Perry of Brookville, Alison (Fred) Pfeifer of Butler, Kim (Bill) Minto of Butler and Amanda and Ben Jamison of Evans City; six great-grandchildren, Conner and Quinton Perry, Abbygail and Wyatt Pfeifer and Billy and Blake Minto; two sisters, Elmina Facemire of Butler and Alice Fay (Harry) Tayman of Butler; brothers, Albert (Nettie) Martsolf and Alfred (Millie) Martsolf of Butler; and a brother-in-law, Bud Hay of Saxonburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Caroline Hay, and a brother-in-law, Harold Facemire.
DYER - Friends of Margaret Dyer, who passed away Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, will be received at Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
Services will be held at the Glade Run Presbyterian Church, 1091 Pittsburgh Road, Valencia, at 10 a.m. Saturday with her pastor, the Rev. Greg Wiest, officiating.
Interment will be in the Greenlawn Burial Estates.
