Margaret 'Maggie' Frances Simmons
Margaret "Maggie" Frances Simmons, 67, of Zelienople passed away Sunday.
Margaret was born Jan. 12, 1945, in Pittsburgh.
She enjoyed bowling, computer games and going to the casino. Above all, Maggie particularly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was the former store manager of the Unimart in Zelienople.
Maggie is survived by her six children, Donald "DJ" (Lisa) Simmons of Butler, Willie Simmons of Lyndora, Barb (Sonny) Prestia of Koppel, Judi (Dave) Frederick of New Brighton, Colleen Simmons of Ellwood City and John Simmons of Lynchburg, Va.; three brothers, Jim Lippke of Oakmont, Bill Lippke of Dayton, Ohio, and Dave (Linda) Lippke of Arizona; two sisters, Kit Palmer of Pittsburgh and Nancy (Charlie) Suess of Allison Park; 19 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in by her beloved husband, Donald Simmons, who passed away on April 13, 1989; three brothers, Stretch Lippke, Joey Lippke and Thomas McMahon; two sisters, Jackie Dyer and Sue Simmons; three sons, Francis, Robert and Mikey Simmons; and one grandson, Robert.
SIMMONS - Friends of Margaret "Maggie" Frances Simmons, who passed away Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home, 219 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.
A funeral ceremony will be celebrated at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Paul Merrill, officiating.
Memorial contributions can be made in Maggie's memory to her family.
