Naomi I. Cockroft, 83, of Butler passed away Tuesday at Saxony Health Center.
Born Aug. 25, 1930, in New Kensington, she was the daughter of the late William S. and Flora E. Swearengin Murdick.
She was married to the late Frank M. Cockroft Sr., on Feb. 12, 1949. He passed away on April 22, 2007.
She was employed as a waitress for the Elks Club
She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in North Oakland. She enjoyed camping and boating.
Surviving are her two daughters, Shaina M. (William) Singer of Hilliards, and Irene M. (Bruce) Miller of Karns City; her two sons, Frank (Karen) Cockroft Jr. of Butler, and Leonard Cockroft and his companion, Robin, of Maryland; her 17 grandchildren; her three sisters, Helen Geibel of Butler, Pauline (John) Guthrie of Ohio, and Doris Bowser of Butler; her four brothers, Carl (Sally) Murdick of Butler, Roy (Joni) Murdick of Export, Grant (Joanne) Murdick of Arizona, and Ira (Sharon) Murdick of Butler, and her numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers; one sister, and one grandson.
Cockroft - The friends of Naomi I. Cockroft, who passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2014, will be received at Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Butler County Memorial Park.
