Pauline May "Polly" Heath

Pauline 'Polly' May Heath
Pauline "Polly" May Heath, 88, of 413½ W. Diamond St., died peacefully around midday Saturday at the Butler VNA Hospice.
Born June 28, 1924, to Kathryn (Armstrong) Crouch and Paul F. Crouch, she was a lifelong resident of Butler but thought of herself and her family as pioneering residents of "The River," on the banks of the Allegheny across from East Brady.
Polly and Charles E. Heath married on her birthday in 1946. Charles, affectionately known as "Thunder," was her loving husband until the last. She also is survived by her devoted son, Jaem Heath.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Howard "Howdy" Crouch, in 1994.
Polly and Thunder were famous for their hospitality to their wide circle of close friends and family. Summers and holidays were full of spirited laughter, songs and evenings around the campfire at the river. Polly and Thunder logged hundreds of thousands of miles of exploration all over America in their motor home, "caravaning" with their friends.
The family is greatly indebted to the wonderful home caregivers who helped her be comfortable and secure in her last years and gave her loved ones the reassurance of knowing she was in such capable, caring hands.
HEATH - Pauline "Polly" May Heath died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013. At Polly's request, there will be only a quiet family gathering to commemorate her passing.
Arrangements are by the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.
